Download scripts for binary distributions.

• pullProductsLAr-v03_03_02
  • Will pull all packages, including larsoft
  • This script will first check to see if a package is installed and will download the product only if not installed. Use -f to install everything regardless.
  • USAGE:
    • Download the script.

    • chmod +x pullProductsLAr-v03_03_02
      ./pullProductsLAr-v03_03_02 [-f] <product_topdir> <OS> <bundle-spec> <qual_set> <build-spec>
      
      Options:
      
        -f    Force pull of tarball if it already exists
        -h    This help.
      
      Arguments:
      
        product_topdir   Top directory for relocatable-UPS products area.
        
        OS               Supported os distributions: slf5, slf6, d12, d13, source
       
        bundle-spec      artdev, ifdh, mu2e, nu, novaddt, larsoft, uboone, lbne
       
        qual_set         Supported qualifier sets: e6
                         (novaddt sets: s3-e5 s5-e6)
                         (ifdh, larsoft, & nu sets: s5-e6)
                         e5 implies gcc v4_8_2 and -std=c++11
                         e6 implies gcc v4_9_1 and -std=c++1y
                         s3 implies art v1_10_00b
                         s5 implies art v1_12_02
      
        build-spec       debug, opt or prof.
      

    • For instance:

      ./pullProductsLAr-v03_03_02 <product_topdir> slf5 larsoft s5-e6  prof

• We recommend downloading the prebuilt binaries whenever possible.

Source code distributions.

• checkPrerequisites-v1_12_02
  • Will examine the system for the presence of known OS-level prerequisites (on RedHat derivatives, these will be RPMs) and list any deficiencies with remediation instructions. The script does not require admin privilege to run, but it is likely that any remediation will.
  • USAGE:
    • Download the script.

    • chmod +x checkPrerequisites-v1_12_02
      ./checkPrerequisites

• pullProductsLAr-v03_03_02
  • Will pull and expand source code tarballs preparatory to a build.
  • Note that there are no source code tarballs for art or larsoft. Instead, the build script pulls the art source code directly from the repository.
  • USAGE:
    • Download the script.

    • chmod +x pullProductsLAr-v03_03_02
      ./pullProductsLAr-v03_03_02 <product_topdir> source larsoft

• buildLAr-v03_03_02
  • Build all packages from source (as downloaded using the pullProduct script above).
  • Will obtain other source (cpp0x, art, etc.) direct from repository.
  • USAGE:
    • Download the script.

    • chmod +x buildLAr-v03_03_02
      ./buildLAr-v03_03_02 [-ft] -s s5 <product-directory> <debug|prof|opt> larsoft

    • -t: produce tar files.
    • -f: re-build already-built packages.
